Chiropractic Wellness Clinic in Leander Texas
Chiropractic healthcare focuses on pain and dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. Most of the general public utilizes chiro care for low back pain and neck pain. Chiro care can also be utilized to treat areas beyond the spine.
At Zygo Sport and Spine, we are a chiropractic wellness clinic where we take pride in treating the patient as a whole, with a patient-centered, evidence-informed approach. Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) have a hands-on approach to patient treatment that includes a comprehensive examination, diagnosis and treatment plan. Chiropractors are well trained in physiology, biomechanics, and orthopedics.
With most diagnoses, we work to implement specific manual therapies that includes Active Release Techniques soft tissue therapy, and therapeutic/rehabilitative exercises. If the patient’s condition and potential diagnosis is believed to be beyond the treatment effectiveness of Dr. Centofonti, he will work to provide you the appropriate care with the appropriate practitioner.
The most commonly used manual therapy procedure a Doctor of Chiropractic performs is known as a “manipulation” or a “chiropractic adjustment”. The adjustment can be performed on the neck, mid-back, low back and extremities which includes hands, feet, elbows, knees, shoulders, and hips. The type and specific adjustment will vary on each patient due to their individual needs. Chiropractic adjustments help restore joint dysfunction and ranges of motion by using a controlled force.
At our Chiropractic Wellness Clinic, each client is involved in his or her own chiro care plan. We do not believe that chiro care should be administered indefinitely for a specific complaint. The patient should ultimately be able to take control of their own condition to maintain individual progress, with education and guidance along the way.

Active Release Therapy
By complementing adjustments or solely using Active Release soft tissue therapies, we produce fast, effective, and long-lasting results for our patients.
Physical Therapy helps our patients retrain, regain, and maintain strength and endurance to help the body perform to its highest ability.
“After a hard mountain bike crash 13 years ago, I dealt with chronic shoulder pain and limited mobility in my left shoulder. I met with several doctors and physical therapists, but nothing helped long term. I decided to just deal with the pain, which ranged from unnoticeable to unbearable. The limited mobility kept me from doing some daily activities, anything overhead, and lifting weights. There was also a noticeable decrease in strength. Last year I decided to get back into lifting and see how my shoulder handled it. I really wanted to try Olympic lifting (snatch and clean/jerk), but I couldn’t even get a broom stick into the proper position.
I met with Dr. Centofonti and after evaluating me, he used a combination of Active Release (which was amazing for instant relief) and corrective exercises to get my shoulder feeling better. Over just a few weeks of seeing him, I was able to PR in the overhead press, an exercise that used to cause a great deal of pain, as well as start focusing on the Olympic lift movements.
Fast forward to today, I have nearly all my range of motion back in my shoulder, zero pain, and the strength is slowly working its way up. I’m grateful for the work he has done, and would recommend him to anyone dealing with pain.”
